Locally Listed Heritage Asset Nomination Form

Please fill out the table below to nominate a building, structure or a group of proposed assets for the Local List.

The proposed asset(s) must meet at least ONE of the criteria to be suitable for nomination. The criteria are set out in SECTION 3 TABLE 1 of the Locally Listed Building Supplementary Planning Document.

The nomination form MUST also include the following:

Maps of the site location for identification purposes
Photographs of the asset, especially those taken from public spaces

Please clearly mark and name any maps, photos or additional documents that you are including to avoid confusion.

Group value: (Does the asset(s) form part of a group with a clear visual or historic relationship?)

Archaeological Interest: (Could the asset(s) provide evidence about past human activity in the locality?)

Archival Interest: Are there any contemporary or historic written, photographic or artistic records relating to the asset(s)?

Historical Interest or Association: Is the asset(s) associated with any notable historical figures or events?

Designed Landscape Interest: Does the asset(s) form part of a designed landscape, park, garden, or urban plan? Is it part of a Registered Park and Garden? Does it have connections with design or social history?

Landmark Status: Is the asset(s) a landmark within the local scene?

Social and Commercial Value: (Is the asset(s) a source of local identity, distinctiveness, or social interaction? Does it form part of the collective memory of a place? What does it mean to you/the community?)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (INCLUDING PHOTOS AND MAPS): If there is any information considered important to include as part of the nomination, including whether the asset(s) has already been identified by the community as significant within a neighbourhood plan or similar document. Any historical references can be identified as well.
