Hi there! Welcome to Northern Reads Book Club!

Two objectives of True North Aid is to:
- advance education by providing books, equipment and educational aids to
  students in northern Indigenous communities;
- to support reconciliation efforts through programs that promote meaningful
  cross-cultural exchanges, respect for diversity and inclusion, and national
  awareness about the ongoing impacts of Canada's unique history for
  Indigenous people.
Establishing Northern Reads Book Club is a simple, yet creative way that unites literacy lovers coast-to-coast-to-coast!

Northern Reads book club is a unique community experience.

And part of that experience includes a quarterly newsletter highlighting not just the upcoming authors themselves and their books, but supporting their work by sharing their social media platforms and interesting articles about their work.

You will also be updated on our literacy initiatives. We want you to feel like you know the author and True North Aid!

We are happy to offer our book club as a free event, accessible to everyone.

However, in the spirit of this literacy intiative, please consider financially supporting Northern Reads. Your contribution will help us purchase new, Indigenous authored and illustrated books for reading programs in northern and remote Indigenous communities.
