January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. The NJ Office of the Attorney General and Division of Criminal Justice will hold an important all day human trafficking awareness event on January 26th, 2023 at the War Memorial in Trenton.
Please join us for “Human Trafficking and Persons with Disabilities.” The morning program will include a discussion with survivors, law enforcement, and advocates and specifically focus on the vulnerabilities of people with disabilities.
The afternoon program will include a special screening of the acclaimed documentary “Sextortion: The Hidden Pandemic,” which is an investigation into the world of online grooming and sextortion – a presentday reality for one in seven children online. The screening will be followed by a discussion and Q & A session.
As always, we look forward to sharing this day with you and looking back on another year of our combined statewide efforts to combat this crime, and looking ahead to a new year of working to become more informed, more aware, steadfast in our resolve to support survivors and combat these heinous crimes.
