FLEAS/TICKS: In the interest of a flea/tick free environment, I understand that if fleas or ticks are found on my pet, my pet will be bathed with flea/tick shampoo. I am aware that my pet may be sensitive to ingredients in the flea/tick shampoo and any bites on the pet’s body will need time to heal. I am aware that flea/tick shampoo is not a preventative for fleas and ticks. I agree not to hold Kait’s Grooming or Paws Up liable.

SENIOR PET/MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Senior or otherwise limited pets can require special care and attention, and although great care will be taken, grooming may be stressful and expose or aggravate an unknown or inactive condition. This can occur during or after grooming. I agree not to hold Kait’s Grooming or Paws Up liable.

NO SHOW/CANCELLING POLICY: I understand that if I no show or cancel with less than 24 hours notice without a proper reason, I will be charged a fee of $30 or $50 for my card on file or invoiced one of these amounts. Kait’s Grooming can waive this fee per her judgement. I agree not to hold Kait’s Grooming or Paws Up liable for any charged incurred.

DEMATTING: I understand dematting is $1 a minute, I agree to any charges incurred. I understand that if my pet comes in matted and the coat needs to be removed that irritation or injury may occur be uncovered during or after grooming as a result of a matted coat. I am aware that this can cause physical and mental stress and that my pet will feel different for a while following grooming. I agree not to hold Kait’s Grooming or Paws Up liable. Regular home maintenance will help prevent this situation.

MEDICATION: I will inform my pet’s groomer of any sedative given prior to grooming. I understand Kait’s Grooming is not a veterinarian and CANNOT administer any medication. In the event of an emergency, I authorize Kait’s Grooming/Paws Up to seek appropriate medical attention for my pet.

BEHAVIORAL ISSUES: I will inform Kait’s Grooming of any aggression or tendency to bite prior to service being rendered to prepare for such an occurrence. Kait’s Grooming may refuse any service if conditions are unsafe.

DISLIKING OF OTHER ANIMALS: I will inform Kait’s Grooming if my pet does not like other animals prior to service.

PAYMENT: I understand that payment is due upon pickup of my pet unless accommodations were made otherwise with Kait’s Grooming. I understand that Kait’s Grooming charges sales tax.

DOUBLE COATED SHAVEDOWN: I understand that with shaving a double coated breed, that hot spots or skin issues may come about. When shaving a double coated breed, their fur may not grow back the same or may not grow back at all. I agree not to hold Kait’s Grooming or Paws Up liable to any damages incurred to my dog’s coat or skin as I have been informed of the issues it may cause and understand that those can occur. I understand that Kait’s Grooming will only shave my double coated dog with sign of this release.
