    The Community Women's Club, Inc is a non-profit
    organization of African American women who are committed to providing $1000 scholarships to high school graduates entering an accredited two year or four year college or university. Students of color who are members of historically marginalized populations are encouraged to apply.


    We are pleased to offer students an opportunity to apply using their computer, tablet, or smart phone. Can't finish your application right away? No Problem! You may save your work and return later. Make sure to upload all documents and submit by the deadline. We wish you the best!

    Scholarship Guidelines for High School Students


    1) The principal amount of the scholarship is $1,000 which is
    awarded to high school graduates who plan to attend a two year or four year
    accredited college or university on a full-time basis.


    2) Scholarship applications are available for male and female students.
    Applicant must be a graduate of a Racine area high school located in
    eastern Racine County.


    3) The criteria used to select the recipients of the scholarship include the
    applicant’s grade point average, letters of recommendation, written
    essay, financial need, and involvement in school and community activities.

    4) The deadline for the completed application, essay, letters of
    recommendation, and transcript is March 14, 2026. No applications or
    written responses are considered after the deadline.


    5) The scholarship grant will be distributed directly to the school upon
    official notification and proof of enrollment in an accredited college or
    university.


    6) The scholarship must be used for the school year awarded.


    7) A Disclosure Form must be signed and submitted with the completed
    application.

    COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE APPLICATION with the
    following information by March 14, 2026, 11:59 PM.


    ESSAY: 250 words or less and double-spaced. Respond
    to the following question: “What can be done to encourage more
    minority students to further their education by attending an
    institution of higher learning?”


    LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Submit three (3) letters.
    References should be from individuals who are familiar with your
    skills, talents, and qualifications. References from immediate
    family members are not acceptable.


    HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT: Upload a copy of your high school transcript with your application.

    In the event of my selection for this scholarship, I authorize the
    Community Women’s Club, Inc. to share my name, picture, video, as well
    as general student information (major, school, year, etc.), award amount
    to the public and the news media. If applicable, my parents’ names as
    reported on the Scholarship Application may be used.
    I am aware that if I am awarded a Community Women’s Club, Inc.
    scholarship, I will be required to:


    1. Submit a picture to be used in publicizing the award by May 1, 2026

    2. Submit a "thank you note" by video to the Community Women’s
    Club before June 1, 2026. (Video link will be provided for submission)


    3. Provide proof of enrollment to the college or university by August 1, 2026
