DRILL MEET PARENT LETTER

On Saturday, the 14th of January 2023, Daniel Boone's Marine Corps JROTC cadets will be hosting a drill meet at the school. This is a full unit event as cadets will be involved in every aspect of the meet; setup, organization, execution, and cleanup. Some cadets will work on setting up the meet on Friday, 14 January; most will be involved in the meet on the 15th, and a few will do both.

This letter is an invitation for you to attend the meet and take the opportunity to see your cadet exercising his/her leadership and team building skills. Each cadet, whether ensuring teams are on time and prepared to drill, assisting our judges, running concession stands, or tabulating scores will be honing organizational skills which will serve to make him/her a success in the game of life. The meet will run from 8:00 A.M. 6:00 P.M. Cadets scheduled to work the meet must report no later than 6:30

I have received this letter on this date and understand that the Daniel Boone Invitational Drill Meet is a mandatory unit event. My cadet will be working to set up the meet after school on the 13th of January or working the meet on 14 January 2023 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
