Who can enter the contest?
Any Galveston County resident can enter. Any age can submit designs for the adult/general card. For the children’s card, only submissions from children 17 and younger will be considered.
When does the contest run?
January 4, 2023 - February 17, 2023
When will the winners of the contest be announced?
Two contest winners will be chosen. Both winners will be notified in the month of March, and the designs will be officially revealed at the library’s Rosenberg Day celebration on March 25.
What do I get if I win the contest?
Your design will be printed and used as Rosenberg Library’s new library cards. One artist’s design (ages 17 & younger) will be chosen for the children’s card and one person’s art will be printed on the adult cards.
What kind of art designs are eligible?
Any digital art, drawings, and traditional art that can be scanned for submission are eligible. For this contest, photography submissions will not be considered.
How do I enter?
Visit Rosenberg-library.org/librarycards and click the “Art Contest” button on the right hand column. From there, you will be taken to the library card submission form. Download whichever art template is most convenient and create art in the template’s white box. When the design is ready, fill out the form and upload the design using the upload box at the bottom of the form.
I draw/paint/do traditional art, but don’t have a scanner. How can I participate?
We’re here to help! Visit Rosenberg Library’s third floor computer lab where we can assist in printing the template or scanning your artwork for submission.
