- All trip payments made in advance of the payment deadline are fully refundable. These payment dates have been made in conjunction with the/travel providers. Once QuickSteps has locked in room numbers with the travel providers, and made payments to the resort, QuickSteps is not able to recover the funds, and therefore these amounts are not refundable.
If you cannot go on the trip, you have the option of transferring your ticket to someone else. We will attempt to find someone else to take your place, but cannot guarantee it.
Room sharing
- Travellers are responsibile for choosing their own room partner. QuickSteps will help, but cannot guarantee.
- If you wish to have your own room, a single supplement of $1200 is payable for the trip
- If you do not find a room partner 1 month prior to departing, the single supplements become payable.
Risk
- Participating in adventure activities, dancing, and travel (where safety is may be less of a priority compared to the standards we have in Australia), all entail accepting higher levels of risk. By coming on this trip, you accept these risks. Except in cases of gross negligence, you indemnify QuickSteps from all claims resulting from injury, claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses resulting from this trip.
The importance of travel insurance
- Travel insurance covers travellers for many situations where QuickSteps will not be able to financially support you. Here are some examples:
- You are not able to come on the trip due to a family or personal situation. QuickSteps is unable to refund you (because money has already been paid to the travel service providers). You claim the non-refundable portion of your trip through your travel insurance.
- There is a large volcanic eruption that prevents all flights departing so the whole QuickSteps trip is cancelled. QuickSteps is unable to secure the return of payments made to the travel provider. You need to recover what you have paid for your trip through your travel insurance.
- A resort/hotel goes bankrupt and closes down. QuickSteps is not able to recover money paid to the resort/hotel. We advise of a suitable replacement resort nearby so the trip can continue. You would need to pay the replacement accommodation at the new resort out of your own funds, and then claim back the expense from your travel insurance.
- There is a weather or policatcal event that stops us getting to the airport on the final day and we miss return flight to Australia. The airline refuses to move your flight and so you need to book a last minute return flight to Australia. You pay for the new flight with your own funds, and claim back this cost from your travel insurance.
(All these examples are subject to the T&Cs of your travel insurance).
- By coming on this trip every traveller agrees to acquire travel insurance within 14 days of thier first payment. Travel insurance must cover:
- Unforeseen need to cancel (for example, due to medical, family emergencies, job issues)
- Travel delays/cancellations
- Personal medical expenses while away (including for any pre-existing conditions)
- Airline/hotel/resort/airline bankruptcies/insolvencies
