  • WHO WE ARE IN DEPTH?

    We are an interior design firm specializing in thoughtful interior remodels and building restoration.

    During her eleven years in the industry, Principal Designer Sonia has designed for a wide range of residential, boutique hospitality, and corporate clients, and she has completed more than 100 distinct projects under her own business name. Most notably, Sonia pioneered the vision for a multimillion-dollar residential project in Burlington, Vermont, where she worked alongside a highly established architect to realize her client's dream home.

    We work with local clients in Bend Oregon but also have remote clients all over the country. (most clients being from New York, California, or Washington).

  • DESIGN ASSISTANT POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    TEAM MEMBER SUPPORT

    • flexible schedule and patient with Principal's flexible schedule/childcare needs
    • assist with projects on an as-needed basis
    • projects range widely: some you won't have as much involvement with, others might be strongly led by your personal online sourcing work
    • ( liking toddlers is a bonus - there's opportunity to help with some in-home babysitting so that our Design Principal can get more work done :) )

    DESIGN SOURCING & VISUAL AIDS

    • assist with gathering & compiling visual aids after Principal provides design direction for a given project
    • will include; pulling images from Pinterest and Google, online image matching/sourcing
    • will need to be able to put images on Google Slides documents with attached hyperlinks related to images
    • will need to be able to "shop a look". Taking an inspiration photo and a list of pieces needed (table, sofa, rug) and finding multiple options for those items
    • referring back to budget & style consistently - as deviating wastes time
    • will be paid on a per-project basis with guidance as to how many hours it should take/when to stop. 
    • There will be a learning curve so payments won't be made hourly but rather per project/task (based on how long it should take an ideal candidate to complete but the average investment will be 6-8 hours/week)

    BASIC TASKS/WORK ETHIC

    • organized
    • good communicator & available: able to take tasks from Principal via text, call, or email
    • self-starter: some face-to-face time but it wouldn't be regular; meet at a coffee shop or my home for project reviews/check-ins
    • if applying as a remote worker: communication skills and availability is a must
    • *Direct contact with remote clients won't be included; except in the Marketing phase of the Role.
    • *Direct contact with local clients may be included; friendly & professional is a must, as well as not being self-promoting or having conflicts of interest within the industry

      MARKETING/SALES (will train)
    • Will need someone available April-August 2023 to take over following up on & creating client leads
    • will include scheduling and conducting video consultations with potential client leads
    • documenting information from potential clients; scope, budget, timeline, style
    • sharing information with Principal (who will be on maternity leave) for her to help with creating an approved Project Proposal including design fees
    • this phase of work will include Commissions based on projects launched and value of deposits paid
    • will include taking over social media; 1-2 posts per week & stories
    • will include taking over the blog; there will be a prepared list of topics to write about, and photo content to include
