LETTER OF ENGAGEMENT

Thank you for choosing Happy Dollars Tax Services On The Go. This Letter of Engagement outlines the terms of our working relationship and helps ensure a smooth, stress-free tax preparation process for both parties.
By moving forward, you authorize Happy Dollars Tax Services On The Go to prepare your current-year federal income tax return and applicable state return(s) based solely on the information and documents you provide. All services will be performed in accordance with IRS and state regulations.
Signing this agreement gives us permission to begin preparing your tax return.
Scope of Services
We will prepare your federal and, if applicable, state income tax return(s). Additional forms, multi-state filings, business income (Schedule C), or other complex filings may result in additional fees, which will be disclosed in advance.
We do not provide legal, financial, or investment advice, nor do we represent clients in audits unless agreed to separately in writing.
Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information
Submit all required tax documents in a timely manner
Maintain your own records to support income, deductions, and credits
Respond promptly to requests for additional information
Review your completed return before filing
You understand that you are ultimately responsible for your tax return.
Our Responsibilities
We agree to:
Prepare your return accurately based on the information provided
Follow all IRS and state due diligence requirements
Maintain confidentiality and protect your personal information
Communicate clearly if issues or questions arise
Filing Authorization
You will receive a copy of your completed return for review. We will only e-file your return after receiving your approval.
If you choose not to file after preparation is completed, an abandonment fee of $150 will apply and will be drafted via ACH from the account provided.
Fees & Payments
Tax preparation fees are based on the complexity of your return. Fees may be paid upfront or deducted from your refund (if eligible). Third-party products may include additional fees.
All preparation fees are non-refundable once services are completed. Refund amounts are not guaranteed.
Record Retention
We retain copies of prepared returns for three (3) years. You are responsible for keeping original documents. Document retrieval requests will incur a fee of $25.
Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement prior to filing. Fees for completed work will remain due. We reserve the right to terminate services if required documents are not provided, false information is submitted, or professional standards are compromised.
