Stonesetters is the "steppingstone" program to introduce younger students to the Capstone Student Legislature. It is designed for privately funded homeschooled students ages 8-12. Students will attend with a parent, getting a taste of the governmental process! Both the Capstone & Stonesetter Student Legislature are presented from an evangelical Christian perspective.
Due to the one-on-one interaction our students have with government officials, program size is limited.
Stonesetters students will learn about the process of legislation, from writing a bill to debating and passing bills through mock legislative floor sessions.
Students will have homework assignments sent out in October and November. Each student will write their own bill, as well as research answers to questions about our State and Idaho's Capitol. They will participate in a guided field trip through the Idaho Capitol building, learning some of Idaho's rich history!
The full cost for the Stonesetter program is $25 per student.
Acceptance emails will be sent Sept 1, 2025.
