  • Head of Grounds

    The Head of Grounds is responsible for maintaining the camp's buildings and grounds and ensuring that camp is changed over smoothly and efficiently between sessions. This position is also responsible for maintaining up to date records of all the procedures for opening and closing camp, change over days, scheduling, stocking and storing supplies, trash collection, recycling and bathroom cleaning.

  • Grounds Crew

    The Grounds Crew, under the direction of the Head of Grounds, is responsible for maintaining the camp's buildings and grounds and changing over camp between sessions.

  • Office Manager

    The Office Manager is responsible for managing the camp office, the camp store, all logo sales, the camp lost and found. In addition, the Office Manager oversees crew housing and manages volunteers.

  • Head of Kitchen

    The Head of Kitchen is responsible for running all aspects of the Pinewoods kitchen including supervision of kitchen crew, menu planning, ordering and other administrative tasks. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the kitchen and dining hall are opened and closed at the beginning and end of the camp season.

  • Dining Hall Manager

    This position is crucial in helping the dining hall run smoothly. The Dining Hall Manager supervises the set-up and clean-up of all meals; keeps the dining hall neat and sanitary; ensures all jobs are done; and acts as a liaison between the campers and the kitchen crew.

  • Cook

    The Cook is responsible assisting the Head of Kitchen in the overall management of the Pinewoods kitchen and for providing campers with tasty, attractive, nutritious meals throughout the summer. Also responsible for managing all aspects of a designated meal during regular shift.

  • Kitchen Aide

    The Kitchen Aide is responsible for assisting cooks with food preparation, set up, serving, and general kitchen chores.

  • Potwasher

    The Potwasher is responsible for all pot washing and cleaning special kitchen equipment and ensuring that all items are clean and put away after every meal. Also responsible for some general kitchen cleaning.

  • Dishwasher

    The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that there are sufficient clean dishes, cutlery, bowls and cups for all meals and all dishes are cleaned and put away after every meal.

  • Volunteer

    There is space for several volunteers to join the paid crew. In return for room and board and time to participate in programs, volunteers work three and ½ days a week on regular kitchen or grounds jobs or on special projects. (If you have a special skill you think we’d find useful, please let us know.) Volunteers must be at least eighteen years old.

  • Availability

    Crew jobs run from late May/early June through Labor Day. Additional support is needed to open and close camp. Please share your availability in the section below.
