My aim is to offer first-rate, traditional art and signage with a focus on turn-of-the-century hand-lettering and aesthetic. I’ve honed my skills over the last decade both through self-study and with some of the best names in the trade. I use traditional techniques and most everything is done by hand. The price reflects this style of work. I hope that your attraction to these timeless crafts comes with confidence in my skill and profession. Hand Painted Signs start at $500 and can go up considerably. Price quote will reflect drawing time, substrate, lettering style, size, timeline, intricacy, ornament, borders, fabrication, material cost, amount of colors, and pattern prep. The average storefront sign may cost between $1000-$3000.

Gold Leaf Signs start at $1,000 They can go up considerably for the same variables as a painted sign as well as the amount of gold used, techniques used in gild, alterations to the glass, time to digitize design, material costs etc. A storeftront gild may end up in the $1500-$4000 range.

Monogram Engraving/Hand engraving - $250 Minimum. Price can go up considerably and can depend on lettering style, metal used, object to be engraved, size of engraving, style of engraving, gold inlay, sculptural relief etc. Engraving can be very time extensive, pricing will reflect that. 

 Certificate Work, Includes: Diplomas, Resolutions, Illuminations, Engrossing etc. Price Starts at $1000 and goes up depending on scale. Price quoted reflects style, intricacy, amount of text, gilding techniques, and whether or not the design will be reproduced. 

Wall Jobs/Murals start around $2000. Price reflects time, and substrate. Price varies depending on colors, wall texture, etc. I try to price my walls similar to signs, but if it helps most mural artists charge around $30 per square foot, my prices are similar. 

 

Work I am currently not accepting: Album artwork, black and white illustration for shirts or business cards, and logo design. Thank you for understanding. 

Please understand that the turnaround time for my work is not quick. Much of what I do takes a lot of time. If you are inquiring about a simple project please know that you will be at the end of a long client list and I cannot bump you forward without a fee.

Mural work like this Depends on a lot of factors. This one is roughly $10,000. Prices can vary

Multiple signs on a building will be broken up into different quotes. For example, the brick sign above is roughly $1000-$1500 and the gilded lettering in the window is roughly $2000. Doing the work in a similar timeframe would be preffered. 

As much as I love doing pen and ink work I am being very selective about what I will take on. A design like the one above is roughly $1500. If I decide to take on the project please undertand there will be no back and forth of design changes. 

Teaching group and private classes will be taught depending on availablity and pricing can be discussed.
