United Community Credit Union is offering one $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships. These annual scholarships are for the 2025–2026 school year. Members who demonstrate academic excellence, good character, and community and school involvement are eligible to apply.
The following criteria must be met in order for members to qualify for the United Community Credit Union Scholarship:
• Candidates must be a member in good standing at United Community Credit Union. This means candidates must have no delinquent loans, charge-off accounts, or negative balances.
• Employees of United Community Credit Union, their Board of Directors, and their immediate family members are not eligible for this scholarship. Please contact the credit union for further information.
• Candidates must be graduating high school seniors, current college students enrolled in postsecondary education, or college students
preparing to transfer to a four-year college. Enrollment must be for the 2025–2026 school year at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
• All candidates must provide the appropriate education transcripts. If the candidate is a graduating high school senior, they must provide a high school transcript. If the candidate is a current college student enrolled in postsecondary education or a college student preparing to transfer to a four-year college, they must provide their high school transcript and/or the most up-to-date college transcripts available.
• All applications must be completely filled out and signed by the candidate to qualify.
• Recipients of the United Community Credit Union Scholarship are eligible to re-apply for one subsequent year. Applications must be completed each year and submitted to the scholarship committee.
• All applications (including transcripts and letters of reference) must be received by March 31, 2025, at the following address:

An independent consulting group will select the three recipients by April 30, 2025. Recipients will be announced in the Member Newsletter.
Awards will be distributed through the school’s financial aid office. Distribution of scholarship funds will be at the discretion of the
financial aid office.
