The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival (BSDFF) has invited our Girl Scouts to virtually view a selection of the festival’s school-age appropriate documentary films, otherwise known as Schoolhouse Docs.

DOCUMENTARY FILMS REGISTRATION WITH BSDFF

Girl Scouts can register for our GSMW-exclusive block of short films using the BSDFF’s registration web page. Viewers can watch all films for just $5.00. You will pay the $5 viewing fee when you register with BSDFF.
- Girl Scouts must sign-up through GSMW first, for free through this form, and GSMW will send you a BSDFF registration link once registration opens
- Registration opens through BSDFF around February 6th
- Films become available February 16th
- Viewing is open until March 3, 2023
- Once viewers start a film, they have 24 hours to finish watching
NEW THIS YEAR: There will be a selection of films for younger-girl viewers and another selection for older-girl viewers. Both age groups will enjoy age-appropriate, short, documentary films about courageous women!

COMMEMORATIVE PATCH & LEARNING MATERIALS PURCHASE WITH GSMW

GSMW and BSDFF have partnered to create a commemorative patch and learning materials to accompany the films.

If you would like to purchase the fun patch and receive the digital learning materials, please submit payment below for the number of patches you would like to purchase.

The patch will look like the image below.

Each purchaser will receive an email with the learning materials, and GSMW will ship patches to you after the film festival.
- The patch and learning materials are not required
- Each patch and access to learning materials costs $6.00
- Patches and learning materials must be purchased by February 23, 2023
The learning materials include digital documents that guide girls through thoughtful exercises related to the films and documentary filmmaking. Families and troops can enjoy the learning materials as a group (all ages), or Girl Scouts can use the materials on their own if they are good readers and writers (Juniors and older).

The purchase of the patch and learning materials does not include access to the films. Be sure to purchase your $5.00 virtual viewing film tickets separately at BSDFF’s registration web page. GSMW will send you a registration link once BSDFF opens their registration page (around Feb 6th).
