Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Be a graduate of an accredited ACFEF culinary or baking & pastry program (must provide transcript and/or degree
- Currently certified at the CFC/CFPC or CC/CPC level.
- Be an active member of the national American Culinary Federation or local chapter.
- Secondary graduates may apply within 4 years of date of graduation.
- Postsecondary graduates may apply within 4 years of date of graduation.
- Letter of recommendation from a present employer, chef, or culinary educator.
Application Procedures
- Applications for the ACFEF certification grant must be submitted through the web portal, with required supporting documents.
- Applications are due by the 15th of each month to be reviewed for approval.
- Grants are awarded by the 1st Monday of the following month.
- Applicant must pay $75 and will receive a grant of $175 to cover the total certification application fee of $250.
- Grant is awarded as a credit towards the certification process.
- Grant expires six (6) months after the date of award in which applicants may reapply with no penalty.
*Grant awardees unsuccessful with the first attempt at the written or practical exams may reapply for a reduced award of $75
Revocation of Aid
The ACF reserves the right to cancel any grant at any time if the applicant fails to meet the standards of any grant requirements or falsifies information reported.
