GROOMING ONE on ONE (Can I stay with ..... ?)
As a groomer I do not allow owners to stay except in very rare cases whilst I am working.  Safety is my top priority, I am working with sharp objects and a moving animal which requires focus from both groomer and dog.
If the owner is present or anxious (and generally if owner wants to stay they are) this just encourages loss of focus causing the dog to want to get off the table and get back to you - not helpful for the dog or groomer. This extends grooming process which generally no dog would put their paw up for. The dogs welfare ALWAYS comes first.
Do your homework, ask for recommendations or references, visit groomer first. Like I said, this is my profession and SAFETY comes first.

1. I agree to arrive at my appointment time. Should I be more than fifteen minutes late my appointment may cancelled, rescheduled or shortened. Cancellation Terms and Conditions apply Clause 2 and 3.

2. Cancellations made 24 hours before the appointment will not be charged a fee.

3. Cancellations made on the day of the appointment will be charged a 50% fee. Not turning up to an appointment without notification will be charged a 'no-show' fee of $50.

4. I understand that I must inform MinibraeGroomDayz if my dog/s has previously bitten anyone, including another groomer or shown any aggression of any type. I understand that I could be held liable for any injuries resulting from the failure to disclose this information.

5. I understand that should my dog/s bite or cause injury thru behaviour or aggression I could be held liable for any injuries caused to the groomer/staff.

6. I understand that dogs whilst being groomed can become nervous, aggressive, fidgety and non compliant.  I accept any responsibility for any and all issues that may may occur to my pet due to the state of my dog/s coat condition and/or behaviour.
7. I understand that shoud my dog/s show behavioual signs of biting that the pet will be muzzled for both the dog/s and groomers safety.

8. I understand that should my dog/s become aggressive I may be contacted to attend appointment. If grooming cannot continue I will be charged for the service booked in for.

9. I understand that should my dog/s become too stressed whilst being groomed I will be contacted and may be asked to attend appointment. At anytime should the service be deemed detrimental to the dog/s health and well-being the appointment will not continue and I will be charged for the service booked for.

10. I understand that under no circumstances will I attend my appointment if my dog/s is unwell with sickness, diarrhoea or contagious disease. I understand that should I attend as per above I will be liable for any spread to other dogs at MinibraeGroomDayz or MinibraeDogStayz as well as for all sterilzation of salon and equipment. 

11. I understand that senior pets may have underlying conditions that can be aggravated during or after normal grooming procedures and accept full responsibility for any condition that may arise during or after grooming. I understand it is my responsibility to inform the groomer of any known pre-existing conditions.

12. Should my dog need a complete clip off due to being heavily matted I understand that there is always a risk of minor nicks and irritation (clipper burn). This is due to unseen warts, moles, skin that can be pulled up into the matted fur and angry skin due to lack of adequate grooming.  I accept any responsibility for any and all issues that may may occur due to the state of my dog/s coat condition.

13. I understand that where there is heavy matting, moisture can be trapped near the skin allowing fungus and bacteria to flourish, resulting in a variety of skin issues, irritations and conditions and can provide a perfect environment for parasites such as fleas which can result in aggavating these conditions as a result of grooming.

14. I grant my permission for MinibraeGroomDayz to obtain emergency Veterinary treatment for my pet at my expense should it become necessary.

15. I understand that MinibraeGroomDayz will always do their best to protect the health, well-being and safety of my dog/s whilst on the premises and indemnify them of any health, well-being or safety issues that may occur in their care.

16. I acknowledge that accidents can and do happen and I hereby indemnify MinibraeGroomDayz from any and all responsibility involving, injury, escape, damage or disease during and after their grooming appointment.

17. Accordingly I agree to indemnify Minibrae GroomDayz, and its owners, employees, and independent contractors, for monetary damages and attorney fees; and further waive all personal claims and releases against Minibrae GroomDayz., its owners, employees, and independent contractors for damage, injury or death sustained by dog/s, arising out of my dog’s attendance at Minibrae GroomDayz or presence on or use of the premises where services are performed; and further waive subrogation claims of insurers.

18. I agree that all fees associated with my dog/s appointment will be paid in full prior to the release of my dog/s. I understand that MinibraeDogstayz and MinibraeGroomdayz hold lien over my dog/s until such fees are paid.
