      ~ Class Times ~

      Thursdays 3 pm - 5 pm

      - Instruments are provided for each registered student.

      - Music Theory and String instrument Instruction

      - No experience required 

       

      ~ Parent Responsibility ~ 

      - Ensure your child is present at rehearsals and that they are present at TIE Orchestra Program Events.

      - Volunteer Once per month during a class or event, concert 

      - Help your child take care of their instrument.

       

      ~ Student Resposibility ~

      - Have all materials and supplies present at rehearsals each week.

      - Practice a minimum of 60 minutes each week. 

      - Take care of your instrument

      - Be kind to other program members and respect all teaching staff, volunteers, and program participants. 

       

      Attire: Members of the Wyvetter String Orchestra Program will wear black pants, shoes, and a black uniform shirt. A black shirt is provided. One Inner Ear Orchestra Program shirt is provided for each registered student. Ladies may wear skirts in lieu of pants with black stockings or tights. No oversized jewelry. single pearls or stones are most appropriate for performance.

      Rehearsals: Students should be ready to rehearse at their scheduled class time. This means their instrument is taken out and ready to play. Their materials are present. 

      Performances: There will be two concerts/recitals during the season. Students are expected to participate and Parent volunteers are always invited to serve on set-up committees. You are needed to make our events run smoothly.

      Instruments: Students will be able to take instruments home during 3rd week of classes provided they have signed and received the care certificate. They are expected to return it at the end of the program. The inner ear youth orchestra and district 189 reserve the right to require students demonstrating poor instrument care or handling to have their instrument remain in the rehearsal class until a student has demonstrated their ability to properly handle the instrument. 

      Attendance:  Please text Ms. Rogers to let her know about absences or tardies as soon as possible. Missing classes could put the student in jeopardy of not performing with the ensemble during concerts and recitals.

  • Media Waiver

    I hereby give consent to have my child photographed and/or videotaped by The Inner Ear Foundation Inc, and/or photographers, videographers, television/motion pictures, magazines, newspapers, and other media at The Inner Ear events and events of its performance Clients to be used for the purpose of public relations promotional materials (flyers, website, newsletters, posters, etc.), advertising for new students to join, and/or fundraisers (picture packages including group shots).  

  • Liability Waiver: 

    This agreement officially excludes The Inner Ear Foundation Inc. (The Inner Ear Youth Orchestra), East St. Louis, District 189, Wyvetter Younge, and all subsidiaries of The Inner Ear of any liabilities resulting from any accidents or injuries resulting from you and/or your child’s participation in any class, rehearsal, performance, and the event itself, and travel to and from any events or enrichment outings and activities.

    Furthermore, it is understood that any medical expense increased due to any TIE artistic or enrichment events or socials is the sole responsibility of the participant in the event. This is inclusive of pre-existing conditions, which may become aggravated due to your or your child's participation in the artistic event. This includes covid 19.

    It is also understood that no legal action will be brought against The Inner Ear or any subsidiaries or authorized personnel by you or your child because of any matter related directly to you or your child’s participation in any practice session, social event, or artistic event held.

    It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, sex, marital status, disability, religion, and age in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

  • Confirmation BY ACKNOWLEDGING AND SIGNING BELOW, I AM DELIVERING AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE THAT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE. THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.
