  • Scholarship Description

    The Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau will be awarding up to $2,500 in scholarships for qualified students from Tuscarawas County who are or will be pursuing further education.

    Deadline March 31, 2026

    Applicant Eligibility

    • Applicant must be a high school senior or graduate planning to attend or having entered any accredited institution offering post-secondary education.
    • The applicant, or his/her parents/guardian, must be a Tuscarawas County resident and current Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau member for at least the past two consecutive membership years.

    PLEASE NOTE – This application is estimated to take one hour to complete and must be completed in one sitting. Please obtain your transcript, letters of recommendation, and write your essay(s) before beginning this application.   

    • Transcript: Applicant must provide a High School, Technical School, College or University transcript 
    • Letters of Recommendation (2): 
      • Applicants must obtain two (2) letters of reference from an adult leader, mentor, and/or educator who describes the applicant’s academic, community service, and/or leadership experiences.
      • One should be from an educator and the other one should be either personal or professional.
      • Letters may not be written by the applicant, anyone under 21 years of age, or anyone related to the applicant or serving as a legal guardian.
      • Contact information (at least one phone number) should be included for each reference.
      • Please note that letters of recommendation must be dated within the last six (6) months and can not be reused if you have previously applied for this scholarship.

      • How does the agricultural industry affect the major or industry that you are choosing to study? (250 words or less)
      • What two activities/events/programs have contributed to your personal development? (250 words or less)
