  • PROJECT DATA

  • If your proposal requires access to data, tell us about the datasets. Describe what is measured, the formats or file types currently used to store the data, and the approximate size of the data in terms of number of bytes.

Example: "We have survey responses from a WebQ survey of 25,000 participants. The survey contained 40 multiple-choice questions covering respondents' demographic information and daily modes of transportation. Each participant’s response is stored as 1 row per participant in an Excel spreadsheet, which is about 1 MB in size."

Example: "We have underway flow cytometry data from thirty cruises in the northeast Pacific Ocean. For each cruise, we have a collection of binary files that each contain raw measurement data in a custom format. Each file is about 5 MB and contains spectroscopic measurements of about 100,000 particles with 8 variables measured for each particle; we have about 5,000 files per cruise for a total of about 100 GB of data."

If your proposal does not require access to data, enter "not applicable."
