Scholarship Description
The Knox County Farm Bureau will be awarding a $2,500 scholarship to a qualified high school senior or person enrolled in college from Knox County who will be pursuing further education.
Deadline: March 31, 2026
Applicant Eligibility
- Applicant must be a resident of Knox County.
- Applicant or their parents must be a Knox County Farm Bureau member.
- The student must be planning to pursue a degree at any two or four-year accredited institution.
- The student must have an accumulative 2.5 GPA at the accredited institution.
PLEASE NOTE – This application is estimated to take one hour to complete and must be completed in one sitting. Please obtain your transcript, letters of recommendation, and write your essay(s) before beginning this application.
- Transcript: Applicant must provide a High School, Technical School, College or University transcript
- Letters of Recommendation (2):
- Applicants must obtain two (2) letters of reference from an adult leader, mentor, and/or educator who describes the applicant’s academic, community service, and/or leadership experiences.
- Letters may not be written by the applicant, anyone under 21 years of age, or anyone related to the applicant or serving as a legal guardian.
Contact information (at least one phone number) should be included for each reference.
- Please note that letters of recommendation must be dated within the last six (6) months and cannot be reused if you have previously applied for this scholarship.
- Essay:
- Choose one current issue in agriculture. Explain the issue and how it affects you or your operation. (250-500 words)
