    Venue is the Mindsports Centre, 21 Dalling Rd, London W6 0JD.

    Due to limited capacity, entries are not considered accepted until the entry fee has been paid. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any problems with this form email John Sargent <johnsargent@gmail.com>

    The tournament is FOUR SECTIONS, 5 rounds, swiss format (not a knockout).

    TOP THREE SECTIONS SCHEDULE

    Round 1 on Friday 18.30 (6.30pm to 10.30pm)
    Round 2 & 3 on Saturday 10.00am and 15.00 (3pm)
    Round 4 & 5 on Sunday 10.00am and 15.00 (3pm)

    Time control: (90min + 30 sec/move)

    MY FIRST TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

    Three rounds on Saturday (10.30am, 1.30pm and 4.30pm). Two on Sunday (11am and 2.00pm).

    Time control: (60min + 30 sec/move)

    Byes: Players may take up to 2 half-point Byes in any round except the final round, where you can take a zero point bye.

    PRIZES

    Open £450 (£200 £150 £100)
    U2000 and U1650 £320 each (£150 £100 £70)

    You must be Under 2000 / Under 1650 Under 1400 in both the ECF and FIDE standard lists at the start of the event if you wish to play in the Under 2000 / Under 1650 / Under 1400 sections.  We reserve the right to move players up a section. The higher of the two ratings will be used to determine seeding and eligibility for any other prizes.

    ENTRY FEE

    £50.00 for all players (£17.00 surcharge for ALL players with ECF membership below Gold level including Supporter.

    Discounted entry fee of £25 for Women, Girls, GM/WGM and IM/WIM titled players, you must still be GOLD or above.

    Donations are gratefully accepted.

    We have an on-site bar that sells alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks as well as toasted sandwiches! 

    Please note that outside food/drink is not allowed except for medical reasons that are communicated and agreed with the organiser in writing beforehand

    Please enter early to avoid disappointment - entries will be closed when we become oversubscribed to keep control of the number of participants.

    COVID Protocols:

    • There are currently no planned requirements to wear face masks during the tournament or have other COVID precautionary measures, but the London Chess League reserves the right to change this policy as they see fit
