Hey hello! Thanks for coming to me for a tattoo! These are for appointments in Providence, RI.
Please read all the way through my covid procedures & precautions before booking. i go through new requests once a week, usually on mondays or tuesdays. If your request is accepted I will send you a scheduling link where you can choose a time that works for you, put down a deposit, and receive all the info you need for your appointment upon confirmation.
Accessibility:
I will be tattooing out of love bites, a private studio in Olneyville, providence. It is on the ground floor w one step up. There's street parking and multiple bus lines within a walking radius.(For safety reasons the addresss will only be disclosed once your appointment is confirmed).
Pricing:
*Minimum + Hourly: My minimum of $150 covers the first hour, and I charge $100/hour for each additional hour. The average length of an appointment is 2h and the average cost is ~$250 total. Please note that the length of a tatoo depends heavily on the complexity of the design, the size, and also the placement. Arms, legs, and back are all fairly straightforward but placements like torso and sides are more difficult and take longer.
*Deposits: I require a $50 deposit which goes towards the final price of the tattoo and is refundable or transferable up until 48h before your appointment.
For customs, I require an additional $50 at the time of booking which acts as a drawing fee, on top of the $50 deposit to secure your appointment (refundable up until 48h before). This helps cover the time I spend drawing, editing, and communicating.
For large scale pieces of 4+ hours I can offer payment plans to breakup the costs. If you are interested in a full day session (5-6h of work on either one large piece or multiple smaller pieces) I have a $500 minimum, and requires a $100 deposit.
*Sliding Scale: I offer an optional sliding scale of $100 around whatever the final price ends up being. Sliding scale is not in lieu of a tip system. It is pricing structure that allows me to make my services more accessible, by accommodating people with varying financial security and access to wealth. If you have finicaial security (you are consistently able to pay bills, have saving or familial safety nets) or you have access or proximity to generational wealth, or the possibility of upward mobility, I urge you to opt for the higher end of the sliding scale, as this will allow my to continue to tattoo those who do not.
****You do not have to justify or explain in any way how much you end up paying and I will never question where you fall on the scale. That said the sliding scale is there to be used so please use it!
Designs:
*Flash are pre made designs that you can choose from. You can find them on my instagram page in post and in the highlights.
*Body fitted facebands! You choose one of the faceband patterns and describe to me what area you're trying to cover (eg a symmetrical arch going smaller to bigger to smaller hugging the top of my knee). I usually draw up the general shape before hand, ane then we play around with it together day of to exactly fit your body.
*Freehand designs are drawn directly onto your body day of. These tend to be for fitted and nestled placement and gap fillers! I esp love to freehand organic motifs like vines, branches, plants, or abstract patterns!
*Customs are drawn for you on request! I will draw them up and send them to you the week leading up to the appointment, to allow time to edit and give feedback! I dont always accept custom requests, but most of the customs I do take the form of:
- a specific object/plant/landscape/etc in my style of drawing
-a variation of previously done flash
- a tatted statue - these are modified to reflect different body types and can be in different positions or based on specific pieces of art
- and more! I don't take on many custom requests but would love to hear what you're thinking. If you really want an appointment regardless I suggest also choosing a backup flash design.
*****I will ~not~ tattoo designs of another artist regardless of consent, or any other kind of art or motif that is not mine to appropriate
***** I am only usuing machine these days and no longer practice handpoke.
Covid Procedures:
Here are the procedure I ask of you before and during the appointment. Please read all the way through before booking!
*Masks are required for the duration of our appointment. Kn95s or N95s are largely preffered as they are greatly more effective at stopping the spread of covid.
*If you are sick please reach out to reschedule your appointment. I rather be safe than sorry.
Transparency on my side:
*Everyone else in the space will be masked.
*We have an air purifier always running in the space.
*I am fully vaccinated, boosted, and will still be getting tested regularly.
*Besides tattooing I have a fairly small pod and everyone is fully vaxxed, and on the more cautious side.
