What type of Board tasks do you prefer?
Directors of the Zoology Zone Science Center Board might take on special projects, in addition to their Board responsibilities, to assist the Zoology Zone Science Center in our various wildlife/environmental conservation efforts, educational outreach, events, etc. Please let us know if you have any specific project ideas you would like to propose.
Have you ever been engaged in any specific fundraising efforts? If so with whom, how, and what was the amount raised? Are you comfortable playing an active role in assisting the the Zoology Zone Science Center with fundraising efforts?
The Zoology Zone Science Center will initially have 6 standing committees: (1) Board Building & Governance, (2)Development, (3) Finance & Legal, and (4) Educational Programs (5) Community Outreach and (6) Rescue Operations/Policy. Please check all that you would be interesting in joining.

The Zoology Zone Science Center Board is an exciting and engaged working board. The Board will meet once a month starting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm (subject to voted change). Members are required to participate in a minimum of 10 face-to-face board meetings a year. Board members are expected to be timely and present at every meeting with a maximum of two absences from board meetings. Between work within and outside of meetings, hours of commitment would probably vary between 5-10 hours per month. Board members are also encouraged to participate in fundraising and development activities, which includes an annual gift to the Zoology Zone Science Center that is personally significant and meaningful - again, encouraged but not required. Board members are expected to commit to the role for a minimum of one year.
