Tattoo booking information
  • Tattoo booking information

Thank you for trusting me with your tattoo project! Please read the following information carefully before committing to booking an appointment and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. This is for your information only.
  • My Work

I work in both black and grey realism and full colour with a more painterly style. I also offer cover ups, scar covers and reworks. I place a high focus on guaranteeing a safe, inclusive and comfortable experience for my client, and welcome clients of all abilities, genders, sexual identities, body types, skin types, ages and ethnic backgrounds.

    Deposits and Payments

A deposit is required to secure an appointment. It is non refundable and I require a week's notice in order to reschedule your appointment and move your deposit over. Failure to do this will result in your deposit being lost.

I allow one reschedule per person. After this, if you want to reschedule again, another deposit will be required to secure another date. If I am unable to honour your appointment, I will offer a deposit refund or an alternative date with no extra fee at your earliest convenience.

    Design

Your design will be ready for the day of your appointment, and there will be time on the day to view it and make small changes. We will have agreed on a specific idea before booking. This means that should you change your idea or want to add or remove an element of the design, I will need at least a week’s notice, provided your change of idea is within my skillset. If not, I reserve the right to cancel your appointment. If you want a full redesign or change your mind on the project, I may need to book you a new appointment with a new deposit and/or change your quote.

    Payment Plans

I am now able to offer Clearpay payments. This allows you to pay your balance in 4 fortnightly payments. IMPORTANT: All Clearpay payments will incur an additional 5% charge. This is Clearpay's fee. You have a few options:

For regular pieces, you will need to pay the deposit as usual to secure your appointment. The same terms and conditions apply as above. I can then send you a payment link on the day that will allow you to use Clearpay to pay the remaining balance.

For day sits and hourly projects, you can do the same as above, or you can choose to pay the deposit via Clearpay as well. The same deposit terms and conditions apply as above.

It's useful to create a Clearpay account ahead of your appointment for this, and make sure you have funds available for repayments as I hold no responsibility for additional charges you may receive from Clearpay for late payments or lack of funds. Clearpay pays me in full on the day, all money owed is owed to them and not me.

    The Studio and accessibility information

The studio is sadly not accessible. Guest spot locations may be, please enquire directly and I will do my best to advise you.

    Preparing for your appointment

IMPORTANT: You will need to bring a photo ID to your appointment. This is compulsory and should you not have it with you, I won’t be able to tattoo you and your deposit will be forfeited.

Please shower before your appointment. Moisturise the area to be tattooed for the week before your tattoo, but not on the day. Please refrain from using fake tan one week prior to your appointment. Please do not go sunbathing or on a sunbed two days before your appointment. If you have sunburn I cannot tattoo you.

Tell me if you are planning a holiday in the two weeks after your tattoo. Please do not organise an event or book another appointment straight after your tattoo. I cannot control how long your appointment will be, sometimes I run over. This is because I take time to make sure you are comfortable and informed, other clients may run late or the process may take longer than planned. I cannot give you a time estimate for your tattoo and do not charge per hour. If you have specific needs for a shorter session (for instance due to chronic pain), I can give you a rough estimate at the time of consultation.

Please make sure to eat before your appointment and bring comfortable clothing (ideally something you do not mind getting dirty just in case), snacks and a sugary drink and/or water. You are welcome to bring headphones, a book, a Nintendo… whatever helps you! I’m also always happy to have a nice chat with you but will always be mindful if you would rather have a silent appointment. Please don’t hesitate to ask for this ahead of time. If you are unsure what to wear, don’t hesitate to email me and I will be happy to advise you!

There is a private bathroom to get changed if you need. We have frosted glass on the front window which means no one can look into the studio.

    Arrival time and late policy

Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your appointment time at the studio to reduce your time spent in the waiting area and help me make sure all is set up before I welcome you.

If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, your appointment will either be cancelled and a new deposit will be required to rebook, or a £50 per half our late charge will be applied to your final payment. This ensures I can respect other clients’ time and not operate at a loss.

    Numbing cream

While I fully appreciate that pain is not the nicest part of the tattooing process. Unless discussed and agreed ahead of time, I will unfortunately not be able to tattoo you if you applied numbing cream before your appointment. This is because my style of tattooing can truly be affected by it. If you come to your appointment with numbing cream on, I will cancel your session and your deposit will be lost.

Please rest assured that I do my absolute best to make you comfortable during your appointment. If you are worried about pain, I am more than happy to discuss this with you and give you some coping tips. I can also use numbing sprays on occasions, but please note this can only be done towards the end of the session when the skin has been broken and the stencils is no longer visible. Don’t hesitate to get in touch via email should you have any questions!

    Plus ones

I ask clients to come alone to their appointments whenever possible as we are a small studio. This helps appointments run smoothly and focuses the conversation between artist and clients. I however understand that many people have travel or social anxiety or have had traumatic experiences in the past and would feel safer with a plus one. I also understand some clients with disabilities may require a carer to accompany them. Please let me know if you do have a need for a plus one in those circumstances and I will do my best to accommodate you and offer some support. If you have a joint appointment, you are of course welcome to come in together. Please note the premises are strictly over 18 only, please do not bring anyone who is underage with you.

    Medical information

You will be asked to fill out a consent form on arrival which also contains some questions about your medical history. You can find a similar form here (please do not fill it out, this is for your information only):

    https://form.jotform.com/230233875701351

Please make sure you have had a look through it ahead of you appointment and let me know if you have any of the medical conditions highlighted in the form as this could mean I am unable to tattoo you.

The questions are strictly relevant to the tattoo process and guarantee your safety and the quality of your tattoo.

We are not permitted to tattoo anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or who is taking medicine that may affect the tattoo process and make it unsafe.

Please let me know if you are prone to fainting.

    Moles, Scars and Skin conditions

I cannot tattoo over moles and need a thorough consultation with you regarding scar covers. Your scar will need to be at least 12-18 months old, white and flat. Some small lumps are okay, but keloid scars may not always be possible to cover. Some skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema may affect your tattoo. This means I can’t tattoo you over patches that flare up. I always welcome people with such skin conditions, but we will need to have a thorough consultation to make sure the tattoo isn’t on an area that is affected.

    Ethics and inclusion

I am a body positive artist and welcome clients of any gender, sexual identity, ethnic group, age (over 18), body shape, skin tone, skin type, or (dis)ability.

I work in female friendly, LGBTQIA+ friendly, neurodiverse friendly spaces. You do not have to disclose to us your sexual or gender identity to get tattooed. Please note that our consent forms ask you to agree for photos of your tattoo and its process to be posted to mine or the studio page. Those photos will be respectful and unlikely to show your face. This helps us build our portfolios. However, we will be as respectful as possible should you not wanted your name, online page or pronouns attached to those photos.

I can personally accomodate you if you require me to use only vegan products.

    Aftercare

Looking after your tattoo is as important as the tattooing process itself. Follow these steps to take care of it and ensure perfect healing.

Your tattoo will be wrapped in cling film or second skin before you leave. Cling film can be removed after 2-3 hours or until you are in a clean space where you can wash your tattoo properly. Second skin can be removed after 3-4 days unless it's leaking or is starting to lift too much at the corners. It's easier to remove it in the shower. Pinch one of the bottom corners and gently tug it down and away from your body to remove it.

Wash your hands before removal. Discard in the bin and wash your tattoo gently with the palm of your hand in lukewarm soapy water to remove excess ink and blood. Antibacterial handwashes are perfect for this as are gentle shower gels such as Sanex.

Pat dry gently with a clean towel or paper towels.

Repeat the process morning and evening for two days, or more often if the area becomes sweaty or dirty. You may wish to wrap your tattoo in cling film again for the first night and repeat the washing process in the morning, but that is not necessary. You may clean your tattoo in the shower, but do not have baths for two weeks! It is normal for your tattoo to leak some ink and blood for a couple of days, be aware this may stain your clothes and bedsheets.

From day 3, continue to wash and dry your tattoo twice a day and apply a thin layer of moisturiser after each wash. I recommend creams such as Hustle Butter, unscented cocoa butter, Aveeno creams or emollients for sensitive skins. NO barrier creams such as bepanthen or vaseline. Do not over moisturize, twice a day is plenty unless your tattoo feels particularly dry/tight or itchy.

Repeat those steps for 2-3 weeks until your tattoo is healed on the surface (no longer dry/flaky). Wear loose clothing over your tattoo or leave uncovered if possible. Light scabbing is normal as is bruising. Soreness and any swelling should subside after a day or two.

Avoid soaking the tattoo for at least 2 weeks (this means no baths and no swimming, but a quick shower is fine). Avoid sun exposure until your tattoo is healed. Avoid high impact exercise for two weeks and be mindful of sweating for 2 weeks. Do not use a sunbed for 2 weeks. Do not apply perfume, cosmetics or fake tan to the tattooed area while it heals.

Do not pick or scratch your tattoo! If it gets very itchy, apply a thin layer of moisturiser and give it a gentle tap to soothe it.

The full in depth healing takes up to 6 weeks, so feel free to continue to moisturise your tattoo once a day until then and always apply sunscreen to protect it from the sun and prevent the pigment from fading!

If your tattoo becomes more swollen, red, hot to the touch or painful after a few days, contact your GP immediately and email me. Continue with aftercare and treatment as advised by your GP.

Please don’t hesitate to send me a healed picture after 4-6 weeks and email me if you have questions!

    Touch ups

A free touch-up is included in the price of your tattoos within 6 months after your appointment. Please note you will need to wait at least a month. Touch ups can only be done for free if the aftercare routine was followed correctly. After 6 months, the touch-up will be charged at minimum rate. Tattoos on hands, feet, elbows and knees often need more than one touch up. In this instance, only the first touch up will be free and further touch ups will be charged at minimum rate.
