CEQAC’s accreditation process for new applicants is designed to guide non-institutional education providers through a structured, transparent pathway toward recognition. The process consists of three key phases:
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility criteria represent the baseline conditions a provider must meet to begin the CEQAC accreditation process: legal and regulatory standing, organizational structure and ethics, financial capacity and sustainability and education program readiness.
Readiness Self-Assessment
Applicants complete a Readiness Assessment, which consists of a self-evaluation against CEQAC’s accreditation standards.
Full Accreditation Review
CEQAC conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the provider.
Note: Each step must be successfully completed before advancing to the next. Prior approval does not guarantee future acceptance. The burden of proof remains with the provider at all stages. Providers are entitled to due process protections, including the right to respond to findings and appeal decisions.
