Can I Get Funds to Insulate My Attic?
Green Homeowners United is running a special program to help people take advantage of the IRA incentives while they last to better insulate their attics. We are currently helping homeowners leverage all the available incentive programs to insulate their attics for between $2,800-$3,400 after all instant rebates and tax credits, and we're filling up the few slots before the Dec 31st tax credit deadline. And for some low income seniors or people with disabilities, sometimes no cost.

Did your household (or average tenant's household) earn more or less than this number last year?
The answer to this question will help figure out how much incentive you're eligible for
Did you earn more than this amount last year?
*
Yes, more last year
No, less last year
Your insulation project (R-49) can be as low as $2,800, after a $1,200 instant rebate and a $1,200 federal tax credit.
The tax credit will come at tax time, not immediately off the bill, so to help with that (as the amount owed at end of job before receiving the tax credit would be between $4,000-$4,600) we can also offer 0% interest financing for 24 months to allow people to spread out the cost until the tax credit arrives ($167-$192/mo)
Did your household (or average tenant's household) earn less than this number last year?
You will have to fill out a form to prove your income is below this to officially qualify for these funds when the time comes
Did your household earn less than that number above?
Yes, and I can show it with my most recent year's tax return

No I earn more. I understand I may be eligible for low cost insulation work following rebates & tax credits, but not "no-cost"
Your super-insulation project (R-60) can be as low as $2,800, after a $2,800 instant rebate and a $1,200 federal tax credit.
The tax credit will come at tax time, not immediately off the bill, so to help with that (as the amount owed at end of job before receiving the tax credit would be between $3,500-$4,000) we can also offer 0% interest financing for 24 months to allow people to spread out the cost until the tax credit arrives ($146-$167/mo)
Do any of the following apply to you?
*
I or my spouse is 60+ years of age and have lived in the home 5+ years

Your insulation project can be as low as $800-$2,800 after instant rebates
The way this rebate works at your income level is that we often have to do more than just the attic insulation to achieve a 20%+ savings per program requirements, such as also insulating the basement walls, exterior walls, etc. We'll figure that out with you and let you know how to maximize the benefit to your home! For any out of pocket costs ($800-$2,800) we can also offer 0% interest financing for 24 months to allow people to spread out the cost until any tax credit would arrive ($34-$117/mo)
Because of a new grant that we have, you could have insulation work done at no cost to you!
