I understand that I assume full responsibility for the welfare of this pet from the date of adoption.

I understand that these are European Working Line Dogs (not Show Dogs or American Show Dogs). This means that while they can make excellent family companions, they need a job!!

I understand that, especially if I am inexperienced in these types of dogs and choose to partner with one, I will need to put in the work (classes, lessons, training), especially the first two years of the puppy's life, to teach him to be the partner and trusted family member I am seeking!

I understand that if I fail to seek training and proper raising, that the puppy may become more than I anticipated. Working Puppies need a leader to take charge...if you don't...they may!

I understand that if I do put in the work, I can have the best dog ever!!!

Completing this application is a step in the process of acquiring a puppy from Washington K9, but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.

APPROVAL AND PAYMENT: We will review applications within 7 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your application seems like you may be a good fit, we will notify you. We breed on a scheduled cycle, so we will only accept payments when puppies are expected or actually available. During pregnancy, approved homes will receive a link to make a nominal commitment payment on a puppy, and links will be sent out in the order applications were received. Please make this payment within 48 hours of the approval e-mail.

YOUR PICK OF PUPPY: Puppies will be assigned in payment order by the first or second preference of the payment or as indicated on the application. If neither of your choices is available, you may elect another puppy from the litter. We ask that you make a choice within 24 hours of notification since there may be other families waiting for a chance to choose.

GOING HOME: We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please know puppies cannot be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations and their rabies vaccination which cannot be done until 3 months of age.

REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our excellent family companions come with registration papers to the AKC. You are free to register your dog with the AKC.
