  • Credit Card on File Policy:

The counseling rate is determined by which counselor you see.  Rates are listed on our scheduling page as well as on our website.  Please verify that you understand the rate for the services of the counselor you choose.

Payment is due in full on the service date via a card kept on file unless other arrangements have been made in advance.  Cards are vaulted online through our scheduling service and securely run via Stripe payment processing.  You may choose to pay by check, but payment will be due before the start of the appointment.

The card on file will be utilized for payment of late cancellation and no-show fees.  If you choose another payment method, no other appointments may be scheduled until charges are paid.

If the card on file changes, we ask that you notify us immediately.

If there are any questions or disagreements about charges to your card, we will investigate the matter as quickly as possible.  In the event of an overcharge, we will refund the amount in a timely manner.

Please sign and date below to indicate that you understand and agree to the following:

So That We Biblical Counseling, LLC, will keep my signature on file and charge the credit card vaulted under the client's name for services provided to the client named below.

I have read and agree to abide by the Credit Card on File Policy that was authorized with the original card.

  • Insurance:

So That We Biblical Counseling does not process insurance claims.  The counselee is responsible for filing any and all insurance claims, if applicable.

Traditional insurance will likely not cover Biblical Counseling services. Check with your insurance company to determine if Biblical Counseling services are covered.  Most HSA plans will pay for Biblical Counseling. Some companies may not cover the cost but will apply cost towards your deductible.  We are able to supply a form for you to submit to your insurance company upon request.

    No-Show and Late Cancellation Policy:

A late cancellation is an appointment with less than 24-hour notice.  The first late cancellation will be free of charge.  Subsequent late cancellations will be billed at full price.

An appointment will be considered a no-show if the client hasn't called, texted, or shown up within 15 minutes of the appointment start time.  The first no-show occurrence will be free of charge.  Subsequent no-show appointments will be billed at full price.

If you are 15 or more minutes late and haven't contacted your counselor, your appointment is considered complete.  If you contact your counselor, you may still be seen, but please be aware your appointment will end at the originally scheduled time to respect the time of the counselor and their subsequent clients.

In either case, the late cancellation or no-show fee must be paid before further appointments are scheduled.  Waiver of charges due to emergent circumstances will be at the owner's sole discretion.  Three late cancellations or no-show occurrences may result in discharge from counseling.

     Additional Considerations:

We have a limited ability to see clients at a discounted session fee.  If you need fee assistance, please ask for and complete the income eligibility form.  You may choose to begin counseling with one counselor during acute stages and transition to a different counselor later, as you enter later stages of counseling, in order to reduce your overall costs.  Owner, Krista Bjork, supervises all counseling cases that come into our center and can give feedback on your case as necessary if you choose to start with a less expensive counselor.

Our ability to see clients at a discounted rate is in part made possible by our Pay-it-Forward fund.  This is for former or current clients wishing to donate a little extra in order to help others benefit from Biblical counseling services.  If you wish to participate, please visit the link on our website.

Our invoices reflect an ability to tip.  Tipping is not a customary practice for counseling services. This is present for cases in which a client with a discounted fee is able to give a little more towards services or for when a counselee wishes to compensate by donation for additional time or energy spent by their counselor on their case.  All tips do go to the individual counselor over and above their salary.
