Non-ambulatory dogs or cats, including dogs that must be carried into the facility, dogs over the age of 14 and/or dogs/cats with autoimmune disorders or chronic illnesses

will not be allowed to board at our resort.

Effective Novermber 6, 2015 we will no longer accept new boarding clients on insulin. We are not equipped to give the special care that diabetic dogs taking insulin require. As an alternative we recommend boarding your pet at your veterinarian or finding an in-home care provider. Dogs that have boarded with us before 11/6/15 will be allowed to stay with us on a case-by case basis.

Further, Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort, Inc. reserves the right to deny boarding and daycare privileges to any animal, whether first-time or established guest for any reason that we may deem essential to the safety or well-being of your pet, our employees, property and our reputation in the pet care community. Thank you for your understanding.

Intact dogs will not be allowed to participate in Day Care, but will be allowed to board at our resort. Individual play times will be provided for intact dogs. Please call for more information.

I understand that only regular Dog Daycare clients will be allowed admittance to Daycare sessions during boarding stays if Daycare has the capacity. There is no additional charge for Daycare while boarding. A REGULAR DAYCARE CLIENT IS ONE THAT COMES WEEKLY, AT LEAST FOUR TIMES PER MONTH. Boarding dogs who have been determined to be social will be allowed to socialize with other boarders during walks five times per day.*

Have your pet's medications changed? In order to facilitate a speedy check-in please help us understand any modifications to meds that we will be administering: For example: Benadryl tablets, morning, afternoon and evening, 1 tab each time, 3 per day.
Has your pet's food brand changed since the last stay? How about quantity of food, mealtimes, treats, supplements, etc. We'd like to know now so your check-in can be as streamlined as possible. Please enlighten us below: For example: Precise Senior Dog Food, morning, evening, 1 cup each time, 2 per day. Or, Fish Oil pump, morning, evening, 1 pump each time, 3 per day..
Any other changes since your last stay? Any veterinary information, any behavioral changes or adjustments we'd need to make for your pet's comfort? No detail is too small to overlook!
REQUIRED VACCINES FOR DOGS

To ensure the safest and healthiest environment for your pet please check your records to make sure that your pet's immunizations meet our requirements. We do accept titers for Distemper and suggest you use Antech Labs because they use the IFA method, which gives a "yes or no" answer about protection. Titers are required yearly. If your pet is not protected against the disease (s)he must get a booster shot.

RABIES

Please request the 3-year vaccine after your pup’s first vaccine (in Illinois the first vaccination is required to be a one-year.)

DHLPP (Distemper)

  Required, recommend 3-year vaccine



  BORDETELLA/Canine Influenza

We do not require these vaccines; this is a decision to be made with your vet whether or not to administer either of these. If you DO decide to immunize your dog be sure to have the shots administered AT LEAST 7-10 DAYS PRIOR TO BOARDING. We will not board dogs who have been immunized less than two weeks before boarding with us.

FECAL EXAM

   Zinc Sulfate Flotation Test

This test checks for worms, parasites and giardia; must be done within 6 months of initial visit and updated every 6 months thereafter. Make sure Giardia and Coccydia are checked for in this test as well. If your pet tests positive for parasites he/she will not be allowed to board.

PAMPERED PET SERVICES
Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort, Inc. has those little extras that make your dog's stay that much better. Ask about our special services like Pamper Me Please, One-on-One Play Time or a Tuck-In with Good Night Kisses. Please bring treats for your pup to be given after a session.

PAMPER ME, PLEASE Does your pup think you're the next best thing to his favorite treat when you give him a belly rub? Schedule some special pampering time! Sessions are customized to your pet's likes. Sessions may include a good old body rub, hugs, kisses and snuggle time.

PLAYTIME/EXTRA WALKS Dogs are invited to one-on-one exercise/play sessions. Please let us know about your dog's favorite games or toys. Would you like your pet to try out some mental stimulation with our thinking games? If so, please bring some treats or pick up some in our Lobby Store.

TUCK-IN with Good Night Kisses Ensures your pet will drift off to sleep feeling loved and content. Our in-room tuck-in service with lots of good night kisses is every pet's perfect ending to an awesome day.

FINE DINING AND CARRY OUT The pampering process has to include a warm meal to make your dog feel like you’ve cooked specially for him or her. Turkey and Pumpkin or Beef with green beans, peas, and carrots are available.
