Best of Year Entry Form

Prints to be handed in no later than Monday 27th October 2025.

Digital Entries close 5pm Friday 31st October.

Each member can enter one digital image and one print. There are no "grades" for this end of year competition.

Each image entered must have been entered into one of the seasonal Salons held during the year, or be fundamentally based on it (for example, small improvements in line with judge’s comments at the original competition are acceptable).

Important:

Entries for the Best of Year Print is limited to the Summer, Autumn and Spring Salons only because the Winter Print Salon was combined with the Frank Hinchcliff.

DIGITAL IMAGE ENTRY

You can enter one digital image. Any member can enter - grades do not count for this competition.

This must have been entered (as a digital projected image) into one of the four Salons held during the year, or be fundamentally based on it (for example, small improvements in line with judge’s comments at the original competition are acceptable).

The file names of the image you upload (with the .jpg removed from the end) will be used as the title.

For example, if you want the title to be "Nice Sunset" then name and upload the image file as "Nice Sunset.jpg".

Remember that the images should be in full resolution .jpg format, sRGB colour space, no more than 3840 pixels wide, and no more than 2160 pixels high

PRINT ENTRY

You can enter one print.

This must have been entered (as a print) into one of the Summer, Autumn or Spring Salons held during this year, or be fundamentally based on it (for example, small improvements in line with judge’s comments at the original competition are acceptable).

It is to be mounted on a firm backing and preferably have an over-mount or matt facing. Prints may be any size from 125 mm by 175 mm (excluding mount) up to 400 mm by 500 mm (including mount). Framed or oversize prints will not be accepted.

Please enter the title for the print being entered, and bring the matted print along to the KCPS meeting to give to the Competition Secretary.

It would be helpful if you can please also upload a digital image version of the print, so if necessary we can show these on the KCPS website gallery. These can be the same specifications as Digital Images, although smaller is also fine.
