The Texas Legislature has added a chapter to the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to limit liabilities for equine activities, effective September 1, 1995.

Chapter 87 of the code says there is no liability for property damage or damages arising from personal injury or death of a participant in an equine activity, if the damage or injury results from a risk inherent in equine activities. Inherent risks include collisions with other animals, certain surface conditions, the unpredictability of an animal's reaction to certain stimuli and potential of a participant to act In a negligent manner contributing to an injury. I hereby understand that Kings Trail Cowboy Church, Whitewright Texas, and all other persons and organizations connected with this event and or arena are not to be held responsible for any injuries which I or my horse may incur while participating at Kings Trail Cowboy Church, Whitewright, Texas or as a result thereof. I hereby waive any claims for damages to my person or property. I also understand that in order to receive a payout from events held at KTCC I must complete a W-8 or W-9 form which requires a valid United States Issued Social Security Number.

Permission for Photography and/or Video I grant King's Trail Cowboy Church (KTCC) the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission concerning any photographs orvideo recordings that KTCC or affiliated photographers has taken or may take of me or in which may be included with others, to use, reuse, publish, and republish the photographs in whole or in part, individually or in connection with other material, in any and all media now or hereafter known, including the internet, and for any purpose whatscever, specifically including illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising, and trade, without restriction as to alteration.
