Attire: Members of Inner Ear Programs will wear black pants, shoes, and a white uniform shirt during each formal recital/performance. An Inner Ear shirt will be provided for all registered students for general outings and gatherings. Skirts may be worn in lieu of pants with black stockings or tights. No oversized jewelry. single pearls or stones are most appropriate for performance.
Rehearsals: Students should be ready to rehearse at their scheduled class time. This means their instrument is taken out and ready to play. Their materials are present.
Performances: There will be two concerts/recitals during the season. Students are expected to participate and Parent volunteers are always invited to serve on set-up committees. You are needed to make our events run smoothly.
Instruments: Students can take instruments home during 3rd week of classes provided they have signed and received the care certificate and have purchased a personal luggage tag. They are expected to return it at the end of the program. The inner ear youth orchestra reserves the right to require students demonstrating poor instrument care or handling to have their instrument remain in the rehearsal class until a student has demonstrated their ability to handle the instrument properly.
Attendance: Please text Ms. Rogers to let her know about absences or tardies as soon as possible. Missing classes could put the student in jeopardy of not performing with the ensemble during concerts and recitals. (913) 940-9620
