400+1 is undergoing significant change. As always, we are committed to that change being informed by research, theory and praxis. To help with that, we are partnering with experts in each of the institutions that comprise civil and professional society to understand the viability of 400+1’s movement strategy within the context in which they practice. This will allow 400+1 to better respond to material conditions and dynamics in an effort to catalyze revolution, but also to bring institutions that are interested in radicalization to a point of cohesion.
One of our first efforts in this direction is a collaboration with Dr. Janne Hall, an engineer, educator, and a member of 400+1’s research corps., to investigate the role of anti-Blackness, capitalism, and colonization in STEM education. We hope that the outcome of this research will be:
- a more informed strategy for the vanguard’s destabilization of educational institutions of white supremacy
- a comprehensive eradicating anti-Blackness training for educational institutions, especially in the STEM field
- a contribution to STEM scholarship that accounts for the Black radical perspective
We ask that Black folk on the full spectrum of relationship to educational institutions support this work by submitting the survey below. Whether you live near a school or work at one, we need your perspective!
