The City of Canyon may approve a leak adjustment when a leak has caused a substantial increase in water consumption and upon the completion and proof of repair by the resident. Section 51.24 (C)(3) of the City of Canyon Code of Ordinances states customers may only receive one adjustment per a 12-month period. An adjustment shall consist of averaging the last 12-months of water use and subtracting that amount from the leak consumption month. The resident will be credited with 50% of the excess consumption. Requests must be submitted within 30 days of leak repair date.
