    Demonstration and Public Engagement

Member studios are required to include a "public engagement" component for their visitors’ experience. This can be an active demonstration of your creative process or a visual display. The visual display can include tools, ingredients, samples, in-process photos, artwork at different stages of creation, videos of the creation process, etc.

    Consumable Products

Consumables are products that consumers use recurrently, i.e., items that "get used up" or discarded. Skin care products, soap, candles, and chocolate are examples of consumable products.

Creators of consumable products wishing to be a studio or guest member on the Studio Tour will be reviewed on an individual basis to determine if they meet the requirements and standards of the tour. Makers of consumable products wishing to apply as a guest are required to provide proof of insurance as well as the meet the other requirements listed in the application.

    Studio Reviews

Once an artist is accepted as a studio member, they do not have to re-apply every year. Members are expected to maintain their level of quality through the development of their work and with any new product/medium they make. Artists may take a one-year sabbatical without having to re-apply. After a sabbatical of more than one year, artists are required to re-apply.

    Guest Reviews

Returning guests with confirmed studios do not have to re-apply every year. If a guest takes a sabbatical they will have to re-apply when they want to return as a guest.
