Campers will be placed in "cabins", a group of up to 10 campers. If you would like to request to be in a group with another camper, include their first and last name below. Please note that we are unable to guarantee all requests will be met but will do our best to pair you up with at least one of your requests.

July 3rd-July 7th - Turtle Mania: What has armor but is not a knight. snaps but is not a twig, and is always at home? If you guessed TURTLES, you are all set for this week at camp. Learn about all 8 species of Ontario turtles and become a Turtle Guardian in your community. Discover why all turtle species in Ontario are At Risk and be inspired to take conservation action to help turn the tide for our local turtle friends. Did you know that turtles are in the same "Class" as snakes and lizards - and they all have a hard time sitting in their seats! Join us for a week of fun with our reptile neighbours - silly jokes are completely FREE!

July 10th-14th - Animal Architects: Let's take a look at the magical creations found in Nature. From the Beaver's "Great Wall", to the Paper Wasp's high-tech "Waterproofing" abilities, and the underwater architect extraordinaire - the caddisfly. Animals are clever engineers, building not only their own shelters but also building traps for food, structures to extend their territory, and decorative pieces to attract mates. This week, we will explore 5 Amazing Animal Architects and learn how to build like the Animals in the Biosphere! Join us for a week of fun, friends, and Nature!

July 17th-21st - Birds of a Feather, Flock Together: Listen....can you hear them? They are the masters of the sky, keepers of the water, and are Nature's music makers. From tiny hummingbirds to magnificent osprey, campers will love learning about birds! Become an ornithologist (bird scientist) for the week and learn what it means to be a Bird in the Biosphere. Birds of all shapes, sizes, and colours play very important roles in Nature. Maybe you have a favourite Bird in the Biosphere already or maybe, you will meet a new one this week! Join us for a week full of fun, friends, and Nature!

July 24th-28th - Mud...Nature’s Slime: It's ooey, and gooey, and cold, and feels sooo good between your toes! But it is also home to some of the smallest inhabitants of the Frontenac Arch Biosphere. Did you know that in one cubic CENTIMETER of soil, there is more life than people on earth? This week, we'll have a look at the forest's natural slime, the slime trail of a snail, and maybe make some slime of our own! Join us for a week of messy clothes and dirt between your toes.

July 31st-August 4th - It’s a Bug’s World, And We Just Live In It: Can you hear it? Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz. It's the sound of Summer fast approaching! Do you ever wonder why some bugs sting, others bite, and some just STINK? Wonder no longer. After this week at camp, you will earn your Entomologist Badge (Bug Scientist) and become an Insect Expert on the Bugs of the Biosphere. Insects play a very important role in the ecosystem and although they can be pesky and sometimes just down right frustrating, they have a purpose too. This week is for the bug lover at heart or for the camper who just wants to get outside, exploring the land and water for the next great discovery! Join us for a week of creepy crawlies and curious creations!

August 8th-11th - FABulous Explorers: “I’m not lost! I just don’t know where I am!” You’ll never be able to use this excuse again after this week at camp! Learn the language of a map, how to identify landmarks, and how to orient a compass. Use these skills to discover the natural treasures hiding in every corner of the biosphere. ***IMPORTANT NOTE: this is a 4 day week, due to the Civic Holiday on August 7th

August 14th-18th - Survivor - Animal Edition: Welcome to the Animal Kingdom - keep your eyes open, you never know what you may not see! Whether it is because of their teeth, tails, eyes, nose, ears, hair, or feet, the animal inhabitants of the forest all have different ways to protect themselves. These "Adaptations" or what we like to call "Super Powers" have taken thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years to develop. Join us this week to discover the special "Super Powers" of the Animal Kingdom and explore what it would be like to have a few feathers or scales of your own.

August 21st-25th - WildCRAFT: Welcome to the Frontenac Arch Biosphere WildCRAFT Adventure. Let’s put your outdoor skills to the test, as you navigate through group challenges and the forest, to survive the “Wilderwoods” of the Biosphere. Adventure awaits you around every corner. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open and watch out for the Wilderwoods beasts. Only the best potions and the strongest shelters will keep them at bay. The WildCRAFT Adventure takes many of the things that you love about your favourite video games and transforms them into an epic outdoor adventure with all of your camp friends. This week will be full of exciting and inspiring activities that the kids will love - shelter building, tool work, scavenging, nature crafting, potion making, and imaginative play.
