  • Village of Hinsdale Memorial Day Procession Entry Form

  • The Village of Hinsdale, supporting the Hinsdale American Legion Post 250, will host a Memorial Day procession on Monday, May 27th to honor those who have served and sacrificed for our country. The Procession takes off at 10am from 3rd Street by HMS. It will head west to Washington and north on Washington to Memorial Hall and conclude with a ceremony. The procession is followed by a ceremony at Memorial Hall. All entries must be pre-registered. Application deadline is Monday, May 17, 2024.
  • HOLD HARMLESS AGREEEMENT

    I, and/or my organization shall indemnify and hold harmless the Village of Hinsdale, its employees, officials, agents and volunteers from any and all loss, costs (including reasonable attorney fees and court costs), damages, expenses, and liability arising from my/our participation in the Hinsdale Memorial Day Procession. I, the undersigned, have read and agree to abide by the Hinsdale parade rules as listed on the attached document. If accepted for participation, I will uphold the standards of the event.

  • Rules for all entries:
    1.    Understand the procession is to honor our veterans. It is not a celebration.
    2.    No candy must be handed out or thrown into the crowd. Only flags or Memorial Day themed items are allowed.
    3.    Participants distributing information must walk along and keep up with their specific entry.
    4.    Children in the procession must be accompanied by an adult.
    5.    Procession marshals will be present along the procession to ensure safety and to keep the procession moving. You are required to follow their instructions. Please be respectful of these volunteers and the police who will be assisting them.
    6.    The Village of Hinsdale is not responsible for any of your entry’s actions.
    7.    Your participation is contingent upon the receipt of your signed entry form and review of application.
