    Big Creek Distilling Co. is growing and looking to add to its production team with a Distillery Production Assistant. This role will report directly to the Head Distiller and is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and learn the ins and out of distillery production.

    Experience in the industry is helpful but not required. We are looking for a motivated and naturally curious individual to help with all aspects of tasks around the distillery.

    DISTILLING ASSISTANT:

    • Assist in packaging and labeling products according to specifications

    • Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed

    • Support distilling processes by following instructions and assisting with production

    • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and organization within the warehouse

       

       
  • Requirements + Preferences

    High School+ Degree required


    - Experience in the distilling or brewing industry is preferred but not required

    - Ability to sanitate work areas effectively

    - Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures

    - Proficiency in operating forklifts is a plus

    - Heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing is expected

    - Helpful and optimistic attitude

This position monitors, collaborates and assists in retail operations through the greeting of customers, restocking of products, and attaining necessary knowledge of products and various processes. The team member should be proactive in day-to-day and long-term tasks, be a high level communicator, knowledge driven and personable.

    RETAIL OPERATIONS:

    • Greeting customers when they walk through the door.
    • Building rapport through conversation and honest recommendations.
    • Being knowledgeable of our products and processes.
    • Verifying legal age of customers prior to purchases and tastings.
    • Ringing up sales and arranging for delivery or pick-up of the customer’s order if needed.
    • Scheduling tours and tastings in person, online and over the phone.
    • Inviting customers to follow and join social media accounts to stay up-to-date on our business.
    • Informing customers of any extra charges or offering discounts if necessary and when applicable.
    • Inviting the customer to join our membership program.
    • Assisting in maintaining the back stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor.
    • Collaborating with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times.
    • Cooperating with fellow team members in both back and front of house to maintain and contribute to a cohesive work environment.

    • Mix traditional and creative cocktails
    • Verify identification and age requirements of customers

    • Process payment from customers

    • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences

    • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits

    • Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift

    • Clean glasses and bar utensils

    • Greeting customers

    • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
