    Student Enrollment Form
  • Welcome to the HUSI Class of 2023!

We are excited that you will join us this Summer, virtually or in-person!

Please complete the following short questionnaire so we can get to know you a little bit before the summer starts. We ask that all prospective HUSI students submit this form, even if you do not plan to apply for the HUSI Scholarship. If your summer plans change after submitting this enrollment form, kindly reach out to HURI Programs Coordinator, Megan K. Duncan Smith at duncansmith@fas.harvard.edu to let her know.

We warmly welcome ALL students who register for one or more HUSI courses at the Harvard Summer School into the HUSI Class of 2023.

HUSI courses are primarily designed for advanced undergraduate students and post-graduates of all kinds, including recent college graduates, current graduate students, academics, and working professionals. We also encourage exceptional high school students to enroll, but we recommend that they contact their instructor(s) prior to registration.

  • On-Campus Housing and Visa Sponsorship

NOTE: Students will need to request housing and visa sponsorship from Harvard Summer School Directly. Please be mindful of these deadlines. HURI/HUSI does not offer visa sponsorship or housing, though a limited number of students will be awarded a housing scholarship in addition to the tuition scholarship. Both scholarships are paid by HURI directly to the Harvard Summer School on the student's behalf.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) Requirement

If your native language is not English, the Harvard Summer School (HSS) requires you to submit proof of English proficiency before you will be allowed to register for courses. Please note that this is a HSS requirement, so HSS should be contacted with any questions and all english proficiency documentation should be submitted to HSS directly during the Pre-Registration process. Please carefully review these requirements in advance (click on hyperlinks above). In many cases, HURI awards scholarships to students who are unable to accept the funding or participate in HUSI because they do not meet this requirement on time.

  • NEXT STEPS:

    1) Apply for the HUSI Scholarship, if needed (and/or other sources of funding).

    2) Create a Harvard Summer School "MyDCE Student Account" ASAP

    3) Complete Harvard Summer School Pre-Registration ASAP: upload required information and documentation. For non-natvie English speakers, you will need to provide proof of English Proficiency for approval by HSS. You will not be able to register for classes until this step is complete. We recommend that you do this no later than April 14th.

    3) Register by adding a course or courses to your cart and submitting it.

    4) Review Payment information and deadlines.

    5) See you in June!

*All eligible students who plan to register for "Ukrainian for Reading Knowledge" MUST also apply for a Summer FLAS Fellowship from the Davis Center at Harvard. The application is due in early-mid February each year.

Please do not hesitate to contact HURI Programs Coordinator, Megan Duncan Smith at duncansmith@fas.harvard.edu, with any questions.
