CBSQ Open Wildcard Challenge
Basketball Queensland, together with Queensland School Sport Basketball, will conduct a Wildcard Challenge tournament for Southern Queensland schools with Wildcard spots for Boys and Girls teams up for grabs.

The remaining two (2) Wildcard spots for both Boys and Girls will be reserved for Central & Northern school zones (Capricornia, North West, Northern, Peninsula, South West, Wide Bay), remaining as a random draw, due to the difficulty in getting these schools together for a tournament of this nature.

More Wildcard spots may become open if schools who are automatically eligible for the 2023 CBSQ Open withdraw their entry.

The conditions for nominating for the Wildcard Challenge are outlined below.

Dates – Tuesday 8 - Friday 11 August
Venue – Northside Indoor Sports Centre
Tournament fees will be subject to the level of interest from schools.
- Each team must provide at least one (1) Scorebench personnel for the tournament.
- Schools must be willing to play during school hours and accept that they will need to pay the fee involved in order to compete.
- Each team must have two (2) sets of uniforms that are of distinctly different colours and these colours must be predominately light and dark.
- All other rules outlined in the 2022 CBSQ Open Rules & Regulations must be adhered to.
