We are seeking experienced, and detail-oriented employees to join the shop team in our Boise store! Our team is versatile, working as both bike mechanics and ski technicians, so we are looking for employees who have experience in both. We work with the best brands in the industry, including Trek, Specialized, Elan, K2, and many more. The ideal candidate is passionate and has extensive practice and experience they can use to provide exceptional service for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Provide customers with exceptional service
- Regular maintenance/tune-ups (skis & bikes)
- Install new bike parts
- Troubleshoot issues and identify broken or damaged parts
- Articulate feedback to customers and team members
- Assist with the purchase of bikes, parts, and services
- Keep detailed records of the work done and parts used in the database
- Fit customers for ski rentals, e.g., boots, skis, poles
- Perform safety tests for skis
- Mount ski bindings
- Educate customers about the proper operation and maintenance of gear and equipment
- Collects payments by accepting cash, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of the work shift
Qualifications
Required
- Expert-level bike mechanic
- 3-5 years of bike mechanic experience
- Able to do Suspension Servicing, Wheel building, Mountain and Road Overhauls
- Must be comfortable speaking to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Strong attention to detail
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Able to work efficiently with a team
- Strong communication skills
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Work with a sense of urgency, full of energy, and a positive attitude
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be +16 years old
