Al's Sporting Goods is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented mechanic to join the bike mechanics team in our Boise store. We are looking for a full or part-time employee who is committed to providing our customers with a positive and quality experience. Al's works with the best brands in the industry including Trek, Specialized, Scott, and many more. The ideal candidate is passionate about bikes and has extensive practice and experience they can use to provide exceptional service for our customers. Key Responsibilities

• Provide customers with exceptional bike service
• Regular maintenance/tune-ups
• Install new bike parts
• Troubleshoot issues and identify broken or damaged parts
• Articulate feedback to customers and team members
• Assist with the purchase of bikes, parts, and services
• Keep detailed records of the work done and parts used in the database
• Educate customers about the operation and maintenance of bikes and e-bikes

Qualifications

Required

• Expert-level bike mechanic
• 3-5 years of bike mechanic experience
• Able to do Suspension Servicing, Wheel building, Mountain and Road Overhauls
• Must be comfortable speaking to customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Strong attention to detail
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Able to work efficiently with a team
• Strong communication skills
• Well-developed organizational skills
• Work with a sense of urgency, full of energy, and a positive attitude
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be +16 years old
