First Call Debt Relief Grant Application
Dear First Call Leader,

The Synod Leader Grant Team of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod is pleased to inform you that, thanks to the generosity of the people of this synod, a fund exists to help relieve the debt burden for those rostered leaders in their first call after seminary graduation.

During this first year of your first call, you are eligible to apply for these funds. Applications must be received by March 15. The committee will then review your application, and you'll be notified by mid-April regarding the status of your application.

Please complete this online application form. Note: If you are a new graduate and are not yet under call by the deadline, you will be invited to apply next year. Special consideration will be given this year to those already serving in a ministerial capacity within the SEMN Synod while awaiting a permanent call.

Thank you for your interest. All information will be held in the strictest confidence. If you are awarded a debt relief grant, you will be notified by email in April. Grants will also be announced at the Synod Assembly. Grant funds will be sent directly to the financial institution holding your debt.
