• Northwest Outdoor Science School - Student Leader Registration

  • This form submits your interest in volunteering as a Student Leader. It is not a confirmation or commitment to volunteering with Northwest Outdoor Science School.

    We are committed to being an accessible program. Volunteering with Northwest Outdoor Science School is free of charge and includes transportation to Outdoor School sites from a bus location in Beaverton or Salem, lodging, and all meals. If you need this form in a written format or another language please email ods@NWRESD.k12.or.us. 

    COVID-19 Vaccination Info:
    Student Leaders who are 16 years of age or older during their week(s) of being a Student Leader are required by state law to provide proof of having the first 2 doses of the Moderna, Pfizer, or Novavax COVID-19 vaccines, or 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, as per Oregon Administrative Rule (O.A.R.) 333-019-1030.  The final dose must be administered at least 14 days before arriving at Outdoor School.  If needed, you may also request a religious or medical exemption via email.  Student Leaders who are 15 years of age or younger are exempt from this requirement, per state law.

  • Northwest Outdoor Science School requests your consent to text you about events, important deadlines, and other relevant information related to your involvement with Outdoor School. You can typically expect texts no more than twice per week.

    You can also reply to texts to get a response from our Volunteer Facilitator Team. You can unsubscribe from receiving text messages at any time by replying to a text with the word STOP.

    If you opt out, you are agreeing to receive and respond to information for Outdoor School, including reminders, site/week assignments, and updates via the provided email address.

    Preferences do NOT lock you in to a week or a site, they will be used by the Outdoor School office to determine assignments which will be communicated to you via email. *Week 6: Trickle Creek, Cedar Ridge, and Magruder will all be Sun-Thurs, 4/16-4/20 to accommodate Eid al-Fitr. Meriwether and Harlow will still be Mon-Fri, 4/17-4/21 that week.
