This position is exclusively for Family Counselling Centres coming up in the three Commissionerate areas of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda under the Safe City Project. Under this project, there are 27 Centres for Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW)s or Family Counselling Centres, which will render Counselling to victims of Domestic Violence.
The Social Counsellor undertakes counselling in domestic violence cases assigned to their centre. Through individual, spouse and family counselling, they make efforts to bring in reconciliation in strained marital cases. The Counsellor also aids the complainant in accessing services such as short stay homes, legal counsellor, psychiatric support etc., through other agencies and departments.
The Social Counsellor undertakes both offline and over-the-phone counselling on a need basis. The entire counselling workflow of Bharosa Society is rendered through a dedicated online platform. Counsellors should be proficient in use of computers and should have good written communication skills in English as well.
