FÉILTE is an annual teacher led celebration which began in 2013 to celebrate UNESCO World Teachers’ Day. FÉILTE acknowledges and celebrates the work that teachers do every day in their classrooms for their students.
Planning has commenced for this year’s event and we would really appreciate your insights into shaping FÉILTE 2023. Whether you have been to FÉILTE or not, please consider the three questions below and help us to plan an event that is relevant and matters to teachers.
What happens at FÉILTE?
At FÉILTE, teachers gather with other teachers from primary, post-primary and further education to share their passion for teaching, engage in mutual learning and be inspired by colleagues and guest speakers alike. The heart of FÉILTE is in conversations, catching up with friends old and new. From showcases to workshops, panel discussions to lively entertainment, FÉILTE has something for everyone.
Why should I attend?
Come to FÉILTE to:
• be inspired
• meet like-minded enthusiastic teachers
• share ideas
• have professional conversations
• meet teachers from primary, post-primary and further education
• or just come for the tea and coffee chat
How can I get involved?
The event is open to all registered teachers. If you or your school have an idea or innovation that you think other teachers may benefit from, please apply to be part of FÉILTE. The open call for participants will be announced in February 2023. Keep an eye on your emails and on the Teaching Council website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter pages.
