APPLICATION FOR PLAYERS
USTA New England’s mission is to ‘Promote and Develop the Growth of Tennis’. With the mission in mind, the goal of this program is to assist with the financial aspect of entering the tournament to ensure all players, regardless of socioeconomics and other factors, is able to play tennis competitively. Families of USTA juniors with a family Taxable Income (income after adjustments and deductions) of $75,000 or less, and other families who may have extenuating circumstances, are encouraged to apply for the Reduced Tournament Fee Program. For families with two or more USTA juniors, the family Taxable income threshold increases by $5000 per additional junior, to a maximum of $90,000 Taxable income.
Once qualified by USTA New England, players will apply for entry into a participating tournament by emailing the following information to the Tournament Director at least 3 days prior to the registration deadline: player name, USTA #, phone #, requested events (example: 16 L7 singles), and start date of the tournament. Players will arrange to pay the club directly before the tournament or when they arrive at the tournament.
Funding is limited, and USTA New England will accept as many applicants as can be accommodated into the program. Please allow 10 days for USTA New England to act on the application. Copy of parent/guardian's most recent completed Tax Return(s) must be provided with the application. If possible, please email your application.
