Ages 2-5 with a parent or guardian. Please meet in the Children’s Garden Pavilion. Come dressed to explore outside. (This class may be relocated indoors if it is too cold. Please check in at the gift shop!) There are two back-to-back one-hour sessions of this class. The same class is offered twice to accommodate more kids. Fee: $3 per child plus regular membership or admission. Children younger than 2 may accompany an older sibling at no extra cost.
Spring Flowers March 15th 10am – 11am and 11am – 12pm
Preschoolers and their families will enjoy a spring themed story time, make a flower craft, and take a short walk to look for spring flowers in the Garden.
Excellent Eggs March 29th 10am -11am and 11am -12pm
Whose eggs are in that nest? Come find out in this preschool class which will include a story time, a craft, and an “egg” hunt in the Garden.
Eat the Alphabet April 5th 10am-11am and 11am – 12pm
Apples, Bananas, and Carrots! We can grow food that starts with every letter of the alphabet. Preschoolers and their families can enjoy a fruit and vegetable themed story time, color an alphabet book, and make a stamp craft with real fruits and veggies.
Rainbow Colors April 19th 10am – 11am and 11am – 12pm
Preschoolers and their families can celebrate the beauty of spring showers with a rainbow themed storytime, a colorful craft, and an easy science experiment.
What a Stick Can Be? May 10th 10am – 11am and 11am -12pm
Preschoolers and their families can celebrate the power of imagination with Antoinette Portis’s classic book “Not a Stick.” Then turn real sticks into paintbrushes and magic wands.
