March - May 2023 Kids Night Out

Ages 8-12. This is a drop-off program. Pre-registration is required. No night of registrations will be accepted. Please meet at the classroom, and come dressed for the outside. Fee: $15 per child for members, $25 per child for non-members.

Night Sky Science March 17th 6-9 pm
Kids have a fun night out, while parents get the night off. This month’s theme is night sky science! We’ll star gaze, learn about constellations, and, as always, end the night with a campfire and s’mores.

Beetle Blast April 14th 6-9 pm
Kids have a fun night out, while parents get the night off. This month’s theme is beetles! There are over 400,000 types of beetles making up 25% of all the known species on Earth. In this class we’ll look for beetles in the garden, build bug jars, and, as always, end the night with a campfire and s’mores.

Flying Squirrels May 12th 6-9 pm
Kids have a fun night out, while parents get the night off. This month’s theme is flying squirrels! Did you know that two species of flying squirrels live in North Carolina and one of them is endangered? We’ll learn about these fascinating animals, build our own gliders and, as always, end the night with a campfire and s’mores.
