The TNSAE CAE Scholarship is designed to assist an association professional in gaining the American Society of Association Executive (ASAE) designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE). Recipients of the scholarship will receive up to $1,000 to defray the out-of-pocket expenditures related to taking the CAE, including the application fee, study course registration, and the standard CAE study materials. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage and further develop a senseof professionalism among executives and staff of Tennessee associations, and encourage association executives to study for the CAE credential.
Eligibility:
1. Current member of the Tennessee Society of Association Executives.
2. Eligible to sit for the CAE Exam. Eligibility includes serving as an association CEO for three years, or as an association staff member five years. Please visit whatiscae.org for detailed eligibility requirements to sit for the CAE exam.
3. Take the CAE exam within one year of being named the scholarship recipient.
Selection:
Candidates are required to complete and submit the CAE Scholarship Application by Monday, January 23. Applications will be reviewed by a judging panel of CAEs. A recipient will be named at the TNSAE Annual Awards of Excellence on Jan. 30.
Recipients may be reimbursed for the following items: I. ASAE CAE application fee; 2. CAE Study materials or books; 3. CAE Study Course (e.g., Michigan SAE's online course, ASAE's CAE Immersion Course) (NOTE: Recipient must submit a copy of the ASAE CAE Application and proof of payment to receive reimbursement for the above listed items
